Description
As an HR Specialist (Recruitment & Placement) at the GS-0201-12/13 level, you will be part of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for the management of a wide range of highly complex hiring and assessment projects, programs, and content which have direct implications across the OIG.For the GS -12: You must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the private or public sector) performing all the following tasks: Assisting with reviewing current hiring or recruitment strategies to recommend changes to help attract and retain talent; Sharing recruitment and placement laws, regulations, or guidance on the use of hiring authorities, incentives, pay, or other flexibilities to hiring managers or others; AND Helping monitor human resource projects by tracking the status of projects and communicating updates with hiring managers, human resources, or others.
For the GS -13: You must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the private or public sector) performing all the following tasks: Evaluating current hiring or recruitment strategies to recommend changes to help attract and retain talent; Providing technical recruitment and placement advisory services on the use of hiring authorities, incentives, pay, or other flexibilities to help hiring managers or others make informed decisions; AND Serving as a liaison or consultant between hiring managers, human resources, or others to facilitate communication, streamline processes, or ensure compliance of human resources activities within an office.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level.
