Our client, a manufacturing company located in Portland, PA is in need of a Full Time - Janitor/Custodian.
$16.50 per hour - Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm
Duties Include:
- Perform commercial cleaning and organization of facility offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, etc.
- Maintain a clean external shipping dock area
- Restock and replace janitorial supplies throughout the facility
- Assist in basic facilities maintenance to ensure a well-maintained environment (nothing mechanical)
- Empty mini dumpsters utilizing a forklift
- Shovel snow on steps and walks around assigned buildings
- Responsible for executing all safety protocols - safety is critical to everyone's success.
Qualifications Required:
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning, basic facilities maintenance, or custodial work is preferred.
- Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and needs minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional results
- Have a strong work ethic - dependable and demonstrate good attendance
- The employee is required to pass and obtain a forklift certification
- Able to work Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Able to meet the physical qualifications for this position which include:
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Standing for an extended period of time
- Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach
- Working in both hot and cold conditions
- Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship
- Need to be able to read, write, and understand English
- Lastly, have a positive attitude and be willing to assist others when needed
