Amazon seeks a Senior Finance Manager to partner with the company’s Corporate Development organization and other senior business leaders.

Key job responsibilities
The person in this high visibility role will be responsible for evaluating a wide range of business opportunities, including M&A, investments, commercial partnerships, and strategic alliances. In addition, the person in this position will assist in leading due diligence efforts and conduct extensive research on industries, potential partners, and competitors, communicating findings and recommendations to members of Amazon's senior management and executive team.

This position plays a key, active role on a small team that drives corporate transactions across Amazon. This person will own the financial analyses that guide decision-making among senior business leaders and Corporate / Business Development teams. This person operates with significant autonomy and independence, showing high judgment in decisions that have financial, business, operational, or customer implications. Many assignments will be highly ambiguous and require an independent, intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses including the end-customer, business owner, and corporate finance professional.


About the team
This role will be focused on analyzing opportunities across a number of sectors, including (but not limited to) e-commerce/retail, video, healthcare, and advertising. As a member of a small but highly impactful team, this role both reviews the analysis of others, as well as serves as an individual contributor as projects require.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 12+ years of corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or other transaction-related / due diligence experience, with a focus on consumer-facing businesses
- Bachelor's degree required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA
- High proficiency with valuation techniques
- Strong financial modeling skills and accounting acumen
- Fluency with Excel and Capital IQ
- Excellent business judgment
- Strong analytical skills
- Persuasive oral/written communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $245,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
