Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.

This position is responsible for leading the daily Guest Experience operations and performing department training in order to provide greater continuity of service at Hersheypark. This position participates across the department for Guest Experience duty shifts and supports their focus area's Managers.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Experience operations by monitoring staffing levels and assigning staff to adapt to business needs. Direct and coach employees for Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, and Sweet Lights.*

  • Serve as Manager on Duty for the department and respond to guest and staff escalations. Provide coverage for Guest Experience SweetCore Supervisor shifts as needed.*

  • Provide training for the Hersheypark Guest Experience department employees while providing feedback to department leaders on ways to improve content and programming.*

  • Assist with guest recovery by maintaining a presence within the Guest Experience department and handling escalated issues.*

  • Lead off-season daily operations and assist with creating training components under department leadership's direction to prepare for in-season operations.*

  • Monitor labor and expenses with organizational audit standards to secure all company assets.* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Industry Experience - Amusement Park, Hospitality/Tourism

  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Must have a valid Drivers' License

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 3 years

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite, and Windows.

  • Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.

  • Knowledgeable in ticketing systems.
