The Human Resources Manager will provide Human Resources support to management and employees in conjunction with the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to ensure action on, and sustainability of Human Resources initiatives. In addition, the Human Resources Manager will ensure compliance with the company’s policies, procedures, business conduct standards, and state and federal regulations.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):

  • Provide direction to supervisors and managers for human resources matters in order to ensure consistent practice and compliance with applicable federal state and local laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Maintain presence and availability at multiple locations in order to meet with employees in person.*

  • Establish credibility throughout the organization as a subject matter expert on HR policies and procedures and act as a liaison between other functional areas of human resources and the operation.*

  • Represent management in a variety of labor relations activities such as complaints and grievances. Recommend and administer labor relations for assigned properties.*

  • Provide direction and counsel to employees on designated properties relating to human resources policies/procedures and serve as main human resources point of contact on designated properties.*

  • Support the HRBP in identifying areas for improvement to proactively educate management about contractual terms of collective bargaining agreement. Proactively educate management about the contractual terms of the collective bargaining agreements to ensure consistent application of policy.*

  • Lead and recommend solutions for a variety of employee relations issues by conducting internal investigations based on thorough fact gathering and analysis, identify and recommend effective best-outcome based solutions, document findings, and maintain required paperwork.*

  • Monitor consistent application of HE&R policies/procedures between resort properties. Identify opportunities for communication, reinforcement, or revision. Recommend improvements to functional HR leaders and aid in implementation of new policies/procedures at their assigned properties.*

  • Attend property staff meetings; Participate on Background Check Committee to recommend employment action resulting from review of applicant/employee criminal records.

  • Assist HRBP in facilitating performance management process. Provide advice and counsel to both managers and employees to assist with coaching, counseling, and career development needs.*

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Must have a valid Drivers' License

  • Bachelor’s degree - Business Administration, Human Resources, Other

  • Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 7 years

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, as well as Google Workspace.

  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision

  • Detail oriented with proven organizational skills

  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced high pressure environment

  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills, team focused with the ability to interact with and build relationships with all levels of staff and management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
