As a Court Liaison Program Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate placement of adjudicated youth within facilities and specific programs in the Eastern Region. You will serve as a liaison between courts, probation officers, attorneys, and facilities to ensure that youth are placed in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting. You can expect to develop placement, transfer, and diversion plans in conjunction with the facility, probation officers, provider agencies, and attorneys and present these plans in court. In this position, you will visit facilities and conduct intakes through face-to-face interviews with youth. Additionally, you will attend and provide testimony at court hearings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Travel and overtime as needed.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,035.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience working with juveniles, including one year of counseling experience in the area of rehabilitation of delinquent juveniles; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

 

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

 

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
