ABOUT THIS ROLE
User Experience Design is at the heart of Audible’s goal to be customer obsessed. The UX team works ceaselessly to transform deep customer insights into delightful and innovative product experiences that drive business results and customer satisfaction. The Design Program Manager role is critical to ensuring Audible design and research teams deliver exceptional user experiences through operational excellence.

ABOUT YOU
You will be the operational backbone of design and research teams, driving operational excellence, process improvement, and team enablement across design/research functions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, optimize how we work, and ensure adherence to best practices.

As a Design Program Manager, you will...
- Manage operational budgets, vendor relationships, and financial reconciliations for the design and research teams
- Lead design and research operations, including roadmaps, backlogs, and intake processes
- Work closely with design and research leadership on prioritization, goal-tracking, and resource planning
- Drive review cadences, status updates, and timely delivery across product development lifecycles
- Document and optimize frameworks, standard processes, and best practices for the design and research teams
- Drive effectiveness in design team rituals through measurement and documentation
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across UX portfolio teams
- Create seamless onboarding experiences and team-wide standards for new hires
- Identify opportunities for training and support resources to enhance the team's capabilities
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between design, business, and technology teams
- Provide regular updates and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
- Escalate issues, anticipate trade-offs, and balance business needs with customer experience constraints
- Maximize business benefit while delivering exceptional user experiences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of experience in design program management or design operations roles.
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Airtable).
- Experience working with design and research teams in a product development environment
- Financial acumen and budget management capabilities (experience managing budgets and vendors)
- Experince with resource planning and program delivery
- Experience working with project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, and establishing communication plans

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of human-centered design processes and project management methodologies.
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience in process improvement and team enablement initiatives
- Familiarity with user research methodologies and experiment design
