Are you looking for advanced technical work in the field of budget administration? Join our team of hard-working individuals at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS), Bureau of Financial Management. We are looking for self-starters who want to make a difference in the area of finance!
In this position you will meet with program offices to provide information, statistics, regular fiscal interpretation, and accomplishments. You will also perform budgetary and financial functions related to the preparation of the annual budget, rebudgets, and reports for DHS. This includes analyzing monthly agency budgeting and accounting reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure control and accumulating financial system information. This position also develops budget and year end reports and presenting reports to the Deputy Director and other management staff are key aspects of this role. The monthly financial reports, quarterly reports, and other ad hoc reports you will create provide vital information on the current status of funding versus contractual obligations and the projected year end surplus or deficit situation within each funding stream.
Other responsibilities for this position include reviewing and approving contract modifications and adjustment requests submitted by the program office. You will verify that the contract, modifications and amendments or re-budgets have been correctly entered by the Controller’s Office and review all system conversions and adjustments to each service provider’s contract. Efficiency and attention to detail are essential for ensuring accuracy and the smooth processing for payment. You will also prepare a projection of assigned grants on an annual basis and assist in the preparations of the County grant budget for the annual budget submission. Additionally, you will serve as a liaison with different bureaus of DHS including but not limited to other duties. Advance you career in finance and budgets with our team!

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Scheduled hours can vary depending on the needs of the regional office.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Budget Analyst I; or
- Two years of experience in technical budget administration work, and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
