The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program is seeking an experienced Public Health professional to support the Program's mission to reduce diversion and misuse of controlled substances in Pennsylvania.

In this position, you will support the PDMP's goal to improve the health of Pennsylvanians by promoting the appropriate use of controlled substances to ensure they are prescribed and dispensed safely and responsibly in the commonwealth.

As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will independently manage the implementation and administration of the PDMP's education and outreach activities. You will play a key role in the implementation of state-wide public health programs by serving as the project officer on grants and contracts related to PDMP, naloxone, and first responder education and training. 
This position provides technical information to support a complex, focused, high visibility public health program and coordinates activities. Experience with health communication, budgeting, contract development, and vendor management are strongly preferred.Qualifications:
  • PA residency currently waived for this title
  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - One year as a Public Health
    Program Assistant Administrator; OR a bachelor's degree and two years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience; OR a bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services; OR an associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and four years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services; OR six years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services; OR a master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care
    administration, health education, public health administration, public
    administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital
    administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration,
    or education and one year of professional experience in the development or
    evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social,
    employment, environmental health, or health related services.
