Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Assist Purchasing team to properly receive, store issue, and order all food, food related items, and paper goods while maintaining a clean and orderly operation.

Responsible for all receiving and issuing of all requisitioned items from the storeroom, ensuring that food and related items are delivered to their proper areas prior to need.

Assisting in ordering and warehousing of all foods and food related items on a daily basis.
-
Responsible for knowledge of daily assignments based on outlet and event orders.

Preparing all necessary paperwork involved with purchasing, receiving, issuing, maintenance of HACCP guidelines, and computer processing.

Cleaning and maintaining refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage in receiving areas as per HACCP and Serv-Safe guidelines to include floors, walls, shelving, and equipment.

Sanitation and personal hygiene practices are conducted to the highest standard.

Familiar with MSDS guidelines.

Keeping food storage, dry goods, and paper storage areas in excellent condition, assuring that all items are always rotated and in their proper place.

Assist in periodic inventories and spot check inventories.

Receive and organize all items in the Mail Room from all carriers including, but not limited to, UPS, FEDEX, etc.

Notify other departments when items arrive in the Mail Room.
Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must possess valid driver’s license
-
Proper training in sanitation (Serv-Safe certified) and HACCP preferred. Will train to standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Computer literate, Windows, and Excel based programs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to project a positive, self-motivated, professional attitude at all-times.

Must be able to read, write, and understand English to acceptable standards.

Previous experience in similar work-related field. Previous culinary experience desired, but not necessary.
Job Demands:

The primary shift for this position is 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, including weekends and holidays. Based on operational demands various start times/end times may be required.

Approved footwear provided by employee.

Able to tolerate exposure to extreme changes in temperature (i.e going from hot kitchen to freezer).

Must maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.

Must be able to stand and exert well-placed mobility for periods of up to 10 hours.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds.

This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
