As a Software Developer Associate within PNC's Retail MIS organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH. This is a support role.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:
• Application Maintenance
Knowledge of and ability to define, implement make changes to, and support a production application.
• IT Incident Management
Knowledge of and ability to investigate, troubleshoot, resolve and prevent the recurrence of incidents that interfere with the normal delivery of IT services.
• Technical Troubleshooting
Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking
Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions.
- Assists in the development, testing, and implementation of software solutions.
- Assists with designing software solutions.
- Writes code, tests and deploys software.
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
- Maintains and debugs software.

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
