This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of Payment Integrity Solutions, Analytics, and Technology Division. As an Investigative Analyst, you will participate in investigation of financial crimes which may involve trust fund, payroll, disability compensation, and health benefits fraud.
As an Investigative Analyst, you will:
- Serve as primary expert liaison with the Department of the Treasury Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Office of the Chief Counsel, and with other Federal, State, and local law enforcement offices. Also serve as expert liaison to other Federal Program Agencies regarding potentially fraudulent payment matters.
- Develop and implement a system of external and internal controls to prevent, uncover, and to aid in the investigation of criminal administrative fraud.
- Develop performance measurements and prepares and presents key strategic and day to day operational analytics to managers to drive changes in behaviors, metrics and performance throughout the federal payments process.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Supporting investigative procedures and techniques to analyze research or evaluate information; AND
- Supporting development, writing, related correspondence and editing investigative reports; AND
- Coordinating forums, webinars or discussions to promote products, services and initiatives in support of investigative entities; AND
- Performing investigative analysis based on information received from multiple sources; OR
- Reviewing and evaluating data, material, documents and databases to develop investigative leads.
