The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide clerical support to the Station Commander and other station personnel by ensuring all clerical and administrative operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This includes preparing and typing various correspondence and reports and ordering expendable supplies from Troop Headquarters. You will be responsible for using the Station’s purchasing card (P-Card) to pay for supplies and services not provided by Troop Headquarters. The Clerical Assistant 2 will be responsible for entering approved work schedules into SAP Shift Planner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is not eligible for telework.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • Two years or more of experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Two years or more of experience with preparing and formatting various correspondence, forms and reports.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements. 

This position is subject to the promotion provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
