SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a Music Therapist within the Penn State Health System, you will have the opportunity to work in an academic medical setting alongside a team of seasoned Music Therapists with expertise in medical, neurologic, psycho-behavioral, and trauma-informed care, both pediatrics and adults. You will work closely with a variety of medical services and therapy disciplines at all levels of care, including acute, intermediate, critical, and end of life. Interventions are provided in individual and group in-patient settings, as well as specific out-patient clinics. Daily clinical caseload will include treatment for pain and anxiety reduction, emotional coping and adjustment, functional activity, and family coping.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Bachelor's degree, Master's Equivalency (in progress or completed), or Master's degree (in progress or completed) from an AMTA (American Music Therapy) institution and certification (MT-BC) through the Certification Board for Music Therapy

Minimum three (3) months effective experience
