  • Work Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Monday - Friday; 30 minute lunch

Actively engage in a variety of maintenance tasks.  Use carpentry skills to repair/install doors, frames, furniture, paneling, windows, and roofs.  Practice plumbing skills on fixtures, steam lines, traps, valves and pipe lines. Install and maintain circuits, receptacles, light fixtures, panels and breakers employing electrical knowledge and skills.  Perform masonry work and paint both interiors and exteriors of buildings to promote appearance and longevity.  Enjoy the outdoors by performing lawn care and snow removal while operating and maintaining equipment/tools to get the job done.

  • Must meet PA residency requirement – For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency
  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. 
  • This position requires a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions

Legal Requirements:
  • This position comes under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance and FBI clearance.
  • Commonwealth employment requirement:
    • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
