With our Data Protection Team, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the Enterprise Data Center backup infrastructure environment and for supporting and leading both commonwealth employees and contractors. This work will rely on your experience with physical and virtual servers; data protection, backup and recovery systems; the administration of Windows and Linux servers; and enterprise networking including routing, switching, or firewall configuration. You will be expected to identify critical issues that have the potential to impact customer services and elevate them to management in a timely fashion, prepare communications to customers regarding scheduled maintenance and outages, and identify internal business processes that require streamlining or updating to meet customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will be essential for ensuring that all backups are completed successfully and requested services or products are being provided in a manner that satisfies expected performance capabilities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Travel and overtime as required.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In office requirement for 50% of the time with alternating weekly schedules of Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Tuesday, Thursday. This schedule could adjust based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
- One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time experience in each of the following:
- Working in a datacenter administering physical or virtual servers.
- Working with an enterprise Data Protection (Backup and Recovery) system.
- Administration of Windows and Linux servers using GUI / CLI / terminal.
- Enterprise networking including routing, switching, or firewall configuration.
