As an Electrician 1, you will utilize your skills and knowledge to maintain, repair, and install various types of electrical equipment, including appliances, elevators, and telecommunications systems. You will work alongside other electricians to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, establish maintenance goals and objectives, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems in various settings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment (37.5-hour work week)
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (commonwealth title); or
  • Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training. 


Special Requirement: 

  • This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Legal Requirements: 

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    1. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
