In this Administrative Assistant 1 position, you will support the Director and other Bureau management staff. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a calendar and communicating upcoming activities to the director and staff; representing the Director through frequent personal and telephone contacts with the public, government officials, and interdepartmental personnel; and handling travel arrangements for the Director and other staff members to meet Bureau related obligations. Additionally, work involves preparing and editing documents related to Bureau operations, compiling research, maintaining the central filing system, and performing other administrative duties to support the Bureau. 


In this role you will also assist in the nomination petition and nomination paper filing processes. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
