What you will do
As the Director, Regional Parts - Northeast, you will be responsible for achieving the financial objectives for Mack/Volvo parts sales within your assigned region and the performance of the team and each team member. This is accomplished through coaching the team of District Parts Managers who are responsible for achieving these plans with their assigned Dealer Groups. This is achieved with a focus on wholesale and retail growth strategies driven by you.
The Director, Regional Parts typically spends three days per week in the field supporting their team in focusing on the biggest opportunities with their largest dealer via key decision makers. Training the team to engage with the dealer decision makers, including principals and C-Suite members working on the largest opportunities as they become a strategic resource supporting short and long-term sales objectives is the key to achieving the regional sales targets.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Achieve annual incremental growth targets as provided by Mack and Volvo Trucks through strong team leadership.
- Create a sales team that delivers results through face-to-face time with Dealer Principals and other C-Suite leaders making the right asks to become the dealers’ trusted advisors.
- Build individual relationships within their key dealerships starting at the Dealer Principal and including Parts, Service, Sales and Leasing leadership and decision makers.
- Drive sales acumen and results through continuous coaching of team by being with them in the field visiting key dealers and customers.
- Leverage two enablers: IMPAX sales process and Sales Force to manage sales team baseline expectations; detailed sales pipeline, daily call reports and face to face dealer meetings.
- Manage travel expectations of team via a travel calendar providing details on future travel aligned with expenses tied to productive dealer visits; hotel nights, business meals, etc.
- Work with team to maximize their time and effort is focused on high gain activities with their largest dealers through the true decision makers (Dealer Principals).
- Develop full understanding of region to include; major markets, key dealers, high yield existing customers, conquest customers, primary competitors and present market share (truck and parts) as well as future expectations.
- Work cross-functionally with Mack and Volvo peers to accomplish overall corporate objectives tied to market share, operating income, cash flow, parts and service solution sales.
- Implement corrective action steps when needed, ability to respond quickly to changing market environment to hit target is critical.
- Develop their sales team to sell the bundled value of doing business with Mack and Volvo utilizing all of the tools and services we offer beyond the part including e-commerce (Parts ASIST), prospecting tools (MAPP) and finance (Fleet Preferred). Leverage these tools to enable the dealer to optimize retail selling efforts.
- Make certain to drive a growth mind set, diversity, and career development opportunities within the team.
- Resolve dealer and fleet issues to best possible resolution.

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial vehicles industry or related business.
- Previous sales, marketing and brand management experience preferred.
- Proven experience in managing a field sales team and delivering results.
- 2+ years’ experience leading a sales team with a defined sales process coupled with CRM adoption.
Other Requirements
• Ability to travel extensively (50-60 % travel) or 10-14 days per month spent meeting with customers and dealers with focus on sales leadership coaching of District Parts Managers.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $143,565.00 to $177,345.00, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
