The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Consumer Insights, you will design and implement primary research studies, compile industry trends from secondary data, and deliver insights based on this work to inform strategic plans and tactical programs.
Your Impact
You will lead the design and implementation of primary research studies applying a variety of methodologies (i.e., customer surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, online discussion boards, diary studies) to support programs across Merchandising, Marketing, Digital, Social, Streaming, Programming, and Customer Experience.

What you will do
- Use secondary research resources to identify market and customer behavioral trends to guide decisions.
- Summarize primary research data with transactional, behavioral, and demographic data to inform partners of business issues and opportunities. Present research results to team members at all levels.
- Employ rigorous research methodologies and technology to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of results.
- Collaborate with Consumer Insights team members and other research and reporting teams on complex projects.
- Research new data/reporting solutions or vendors and propose new solutions for information gathering/research and self-service options for the business.
- Manage research suppliers and act as a vendor liaison to the business.
What You Bring
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, Sociology or related field.
- 7+ years professional experience in Retail, Entertainment, Market Research, or a related field with an analytical and business background.
- Experience with research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, online research communities, diary studies, and segmentations.
- Experience with secondary sources and use of secondary survey research.
- Experience using statistical methods to analyze large survey data sets.
- Ability to translate complex research findings and data sets into relevant insights.
- Experience working with/management of research partners.
- Understanding of social media platforms and commerce (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) is a plus.
- Entertainment research experience (e.g., TV, streaming, short form) is a plus.
- Understanding of streaming media services is a plus.
