The CDC utilizes Direct/Expedited Hire Authorities to fill vacancies in a variety of occupations. This vacancy is a REPOSITORY of applications. Duties and responsibilities vary and may increase according to the grade level of the position. Applications may be periodically referred to hiring managers both during the open period and after the closing date. Collaborating with CDC, State and local researchers and provide medical and health services research expertise in developing, monitoring, and revising study protocols, data collection instruments, questionnaires, and related documentation for new and ongoing projects for the prevention of diseases.

Analyzing data collected and compiled from intramural and extramural studies of specific disease prevention.

Working with program managers, policy makers, and experts in the fields of public health and health services research from across CDC as well as from other Federal agencies, state and local health departments, and nongovernmental organizations to improve the quality and scientific rigor of health services research and evaluation.

Applying a thorough knowledge of health services research methodology and extramural procurement procedures and responsibilities to develop contracts and task orders to assess disease prevention programs, policies, and managerial issues.
