To qualify for a Supervisory Logistics Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must include:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in­ grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Knowledge of and responsibility for information technology systems and applications, including, but not limited to, those that provide functionality in: identification of supply items (government and commercial identifiers), identification of customer/vendor master data, item unique identifiers, management of customer supporting activities, and management of knowledge and data sharing capabilities, and comprehensive knowledge of requirements definition functions associated with the design, development, documentation, test and integration, and sustainment of information technology systems requirements to meet customer needs.
  • Skill and ability to direct and supervise employees and perform planning and leadership practices and techniques to provide guidance and oversight of assigned area(s).
  • Thorough, comprehensive knowledge of information technology principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of functional requirements for business areas and systems.
  • Expertise on industry standard tools, methods and procedures for requirements definition, necessary to direct assigned area(s) and subordinates.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
