Assistant Principal on Assignment - Elementary
Job Summary:
Working onsite from one of our CCA Family Service Centers, located in Pennsylvania, the Assistant Principal on Assignment will play a crucial role in supporting the school's mission to provide high-quality education in a virtual learning environment. This leadership position requires a dynamic and dedicated educational professional who will work collaboratively with the principal, teachers, staff, and students to ensure the smooth operation of the school, the implementation of policies and procedures, and the delivery of an engaging and effective curriculum across all grade levels, Elementary, Middle School and High School.
Key Responsibilities
:
Instructional Leadership
Collaborate with teachers and instructional staff to ensure the development and implementation of effective online learning strategies and curriculum.
Conduct regular classroom observations, provide constructive feedback, and support teacher professional development.
Assist in the selection and implementation of educational technology tools and resources to enhance virtual learning experiences.
Student Support and Discipline:
Support the maintenance of a positive and inclusive online learning environment.
Address student behavior issues, implement discipline policies, and work with students, parents, and teachers to foster a respectful and safe cyber school culture.
Implement and oversee interventions and support services for students experiencing academic or behavioral challenges.
Participates in and attends meetings and hearings related to compulsory attendance, student safety, and children and youth services requirements
Takes ownership in managing attendance, conduct, and health of learners and assumes responsibility for appropriate interventions, including student attendance improvement conferences and truancy hearings
Curriculum and Assessment:
Collaborate with curriculum coordinators and teachers to develop, review, and refine the online curriculum.
Monitor student progress and performance, analyze assessment data, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Ensure alignment with state and national educational standards.
School Operations:
Assist in managing day-to-day school operations, including scheduling, staff assignments, and student enrollment.
Implement all Board policies as directed by the President/CEO, Executive Vice Presidents, and/or other Senior Administrators
Participate in the delivery of special education services to ensure the school
is in compliance with
state and federal laws and school policies and guidelines
Serve as Local Education Agency representative at IEP and 504 meetings
Participate in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the principal on budget planning and resource allocation.
Professional Development:
Provide guidance and support for the professional growth of teachers and staff.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in online education.
Parent and Community Engagement:
Foster strong relationships with parents and the school community, facilitating open communication and collaboration.
Organize and participate in virtual meetings, workshops, and events to engage parents and community stakeholders.
Supports and participates in out-of-classroom student experiences, including field trips, clubs, school-sponsored activities, and other opportunities
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related area.
Administrative Principal Certification
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a public-school setting
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Customer focused approach
High degree of flexibility
Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Team player and ability to lead a collaborative culture
Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office products, learning management systems, student information systems, web-conferencing tools, etc...)
Working from a CCA Family Service Center on a full-time and regular basis
Frequent travel
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This is not a work from home position. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role. Requires the ability to lift, squat, sit, bend, or stand as necessary. Ability to travel to other sites/locations as needed.

Required Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related area.
Administrative Principal Certification
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a public-school setting
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a school administrator, preferably in a public-school setting
Minimum of 7 years' teaching experience, preferably in a public-school setting
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Valid PA Driver’s License
Appropriate Automobile Insurance Coverage
