We are excited to announce the opening of the Commonwealth's Human Resource Management Trainee (HRMT) program!  We anticipate hiring 12 trainees who will be part of the 2020-2021 HRMT class.  Successful completion of this year-long, highly competitive program will result in a promotion to an HR Analyst job!  Throughout the program, you will learn and perform a variety of human resource work through rotational assignments at several different agencies in the Harrisburg area.  You will gain valuable experience in several areas of human resources and form valuable relationships by networking with all levels of HR staff and leadership.  This selective program is the first step toward a rewarding career in human resources with the Commonwealth! This is a one-year training program designed to develop technical human resource competence while giving you an understanding of state government organizations and operations.  You will participate in on-the-job training in human resource functions.  You will work closely with higher-level human resource professionals to grow your knowledge base and expand your skills.  Upon successful completion of the trainee program, you will be promoted to an HR Analyst, which has many additional opportunities for further career growth!

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:  A bachelor's degree.  The
    bachelor's degree must be obtained prior to appointment.
