Description Staff Accountant:

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make an impact in a mission-driven organization? Working out of our Capital Campus Family Service Center located in Harrisburg, PA, our Staff Accountant will support our Business Office with day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent service.

You’ll be the go-to person for a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks that keep our school running behind the scenes. On a typical day, you might:
  • Help manage the school’s capital project budgets and accounting
  • Oversee contract budgets and ensure timely payments by working with vendors
  • Prepare monthly facility reports for the board
  • Maintain project schedules and documents for new builds and renovations
  • Build relationships with vendors to ensure quick invoice processing
  • Create multi-year projections for capital projects and present annually
  • Handle tasks like tracking tax-exempt status, security deposits, and vendor orders
  • Assist with year-end closing and manage assets, leases, and construction progress
  • Tackle other accounting and administrative duties as the department evolves
