Overview

CAES Mission Systems, Lansdale PA is creating a new organization focused on building its business data analysis capability. As Business Operations Manager you will lead the team of analysts who are focused on business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance. Under your leadership, this function will be expected to identify areas and methods of improving overall business operations through data. The primary effect of this new organization across the business will be to evaluate business information needs to enhance the integration of our business processes and information. This will entail developing, defining, and improving data models to produce artifacts that are designed to optimize organizational processes. As well as the implementation of analytical approaches and methodologies, and assisting in the interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship and ongoing development to our Business Operations (BO) team, focusing on the ongoing growth of individuals and maturing the overall department.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap based on the strategic vision for the enterprise that drives the continual maturation of the BO program.
  • Demonstrate proven results in translating customer needs into solutions.
  • Research, recommend and develop reporting, data warehouse and data analytics solutions for the company, in partnership with our Information Technology function.
  • Advocate for the effective use of data and drive a culture of data-informed decision making across the company.
  • Partner with systems subject matter experts to develop and establish data governance processes to ensure integrity, consistency and security of data across the enterprise systems.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' relevant Business Operations work experience, or;
  • Master's Degree and 2 years' relevant Business Operations work experience
  • Your experience must include people management
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • Experience in report writing, developing and delivering dashboards and communicating findings verbally and visually at senior levels, including executive level briefing presentations
  • Experience in USG aerospace & defense industry strongly preferred.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Applications including Power BI, Power BI Report Server, Excel and Power Point
  • Programming expertise in SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL), DAX, m-language, Visual Basic or other relevant languages
  • Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Certification
  • Organizational Change Management certification (ADKAR) / experience
  • Relevant experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, IFS, or equivalent
  • Related experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10% Travel – Training and Best Practice Sharing across Business Division

Salary Range: $107,000 - $132,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
