A Maintenance Technician III job in Tacoma, Washington is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. You will perform work activities in relation to the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and buildings. A Maintenance Technician III is a multi-crafted and safety-oriented technician who possesses a variety of experience and in-depth knowledge of production machinery. This position is hands-on in a continuous production environment. The hourly compensation range is $33.00 to $41.25, depending on experience.

Maintenance Technician job responsibilities include:
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery in support of the overall production processes
- Hands-on duties with industrial components such as motors, variable AC drives, PLCs, electrical sensory devices, AC/DC motors, servos, sensors, and switches
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial pneumatic & hydraulic system components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and solenoids.
- Maintain required repair and work logs.
- Prioritize repairs to meet efficiencies and the needs of the production plant.
- Provide routine preventative upkeep on equipment and work with production personnel to maintain and improve quality.
- Perform some fabrication work.
- Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures with a high level of detail and a sense of urgency.
- Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment
Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of maintenance experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work any required schedule needed for the facility's needs. Occasional weekend overtime may be necessary.
- Certification from college or technical school preferred but not required. As demonstrable experience may be accepted in lieu of credentials.
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling
- Must be able to read and follow blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment in all the aforementioned areas.
- Heavy lifting may be required. Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds alone, up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling
- Computer literacy with the ability to learn new computer software programs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
