The Opportunity:
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operational goals within their department. You will lead a team of leaders and will mentor your team to ensure performance objectives are met, creating a positive environment, and and developing leaders within the Fulfillment Center. You will work on site and report to the site's general manager.
Your Impact
- Lead the operation of a multi-shift, 7-day-per-week, multi-department variable volume distribution operation team, including productivity, financial, and service goals that meet the demands of our customer.
- Develop strategic plans to operate within an approved cost structure.
- Develop methods of improving specific aspects of the operation such as processes that lead to improved operational effectiveness.
- Conduct scheduled roundtable meetings, inclusive of all schedules/shifts and departments.
- Develop and submit an annual budget plan for your departments. Monitor expenses against budgeted costs and provide explanations for variances for all.
- Design and implement training programs and supporting materials for employee education and development.
- Develop procedures to meet new or changing conditions within the department. Ensure consistency among sites in quality practices. Work with necessary partners across the network to obtain agreement and implement corrective action measures.
- Set the short-term and long-term strategic vision at the site maximizing inventory accuracy with a focus on high-level customer service and operational excellence.
- Lead teams in ways to lead a safe working environment for employees and maximize employee engagement throughout the operation and ensures that site remains proper health and security environment.
What You Bring
- 8+ years experience in fulfillment leadership, improving network resources, and understand how to improve performance and service levels.
- 4+ years experience in budgeting, financial management, and labor planning and optimization.
- Experience leading projects to guide cost savings and improve service to our customers through network and process improvements with our DCs, vendors, and transportation partners.
- Subject matter expert in quality and operational controls, internal controls auditing, process improvement, organization, and operations flow design, and distribution systems.
- Excellent performance in engagement, leadership, culture behavior, cost awareness, customer orientation, loyalty, organizational talent, conceptual, initiate, and "live" change
