The Department of Transportation Driver & Vehicle Services is looking to hire an Information Technology Technician in the Driver & Vehicle Services Office located at the Riverfront Office Center. If you are interested please apply.

Work Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; Monday - Friday; 1 hour lunch
Installation of IT hardware and software, troubleshooting IT related issues, provide and maintain individual security access.
Communicates closely with Team Lead and/or Technical Services Division Manager to make aware of any problems in a timely manner. Assists Technical Services Division Manager and System Maintenance Division Manager or coworkers as needed.
Maintains Driver & Vehicle Services' inventory which consist of but not limited to
PC, laptops, docking stations, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, desk phones, cell phones, smart phones, tablets, copiers, multi-function devices, fax machines, smart boards, TV's, Bluetooth headsets, check scanners, etc.
Works with vendors on an as needed basis to resolve technical issues involving repair, maintenance of IT hardware and security systems.
Assists users with Microsoft software including Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Skype, OneDrive, and Access.
Sets up, installs and maintains new equipment (PCs, printers, monitors, scanners) in Central Office and 71 Driver License Centers. Troubleshoots IT problems for Driver & Vehicle Services, Driver License Centers and Messenger Centers. Prepares procedures for installation of related hardware.
Performs telecommunication duties as required including but not limited to installing, troubleshooting issues related to analog, digital, VOIP, UCD/ACD software and hardware including voicemail, cell phones, smart phones, tablets, headsets, etc. Assists in coordinating installation of phone lines and data lines at the Driver License Centers.
Troubleshoots basic networking connectivity issues between PCs or printers and data closets.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
An associate's degree in any
information technology field; or two years of experience providing information technology support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
