Description The CDC utilizes Direct Hire Authority to fill vacancies in a variety of occupations. This vacancy is a REPOSITORY of applications. Applications may be periodically referred to hiring managers both during the open period and after the closing date. Because of the large number of applications anticipated, applicants' status will not be updated.

This public notice covers positions managing, supervising, leading, and/or performing professional medical work. Duties and responsibilities vary and may increase according to the grade level and series of the position. This public notice will be used to fill Medical Occupation positions listed below at the following grade levels.
  • Pharmacist, GS-0660: Grades GS-11 through GS-15
Basic Qualifications:
  • MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors.
  • GS-11: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, Ph.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
  • GS-12: In addition to the GS-11 requirements, must have at least 1 year of professional pharmacy experience: Qualifications must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, & competencies necessary to perform the work of the position. Pharmacy work requires knowledge of the use, clinical effects, & composition of medications, including their chemical, biological, & physical properties.
  • GS-13 & ABOVE:
    • EDUCATION: Doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained
    • LICENSURE: Licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory
    • EXPERIENCE: 1 year of professional pharmacy experience as defined above equivalent to the next lower grade level
Salary72,553.00 - 186,854.00 Annual
