Gulisek Construction is seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our growing team of construction professionals.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel engines, medium truck fleet and heavy equipment.
- Complete required preventive maintenance tasks per manufacture specifications
- Prepare and complete service documentation.
- Perform welding as needed
- Work in a safe manner and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED;
- At least 3 years experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy construction equipment mechanic (or a diploma from a trade school as a diesel mechanic);
- Light duty truck mechanic experience required;
- The ability to obtain a DOT medical card;
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently on a regular basis;
- Be willing to work overtime and varying shifts;
- Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work in any kind of active construction zone.
- All candidates must have their own tools. Non-exempt under FSLA.
