We have an immediate need for an Indirect Buyer I for our First Quality Baby Products location in Macon, GA. The primary purpose of this role is data entry into systems and generation of Purchase Orders. This role is highly transactional and requires general supervision within a framework of established policies and procedures, buying routine parts and services.
Responsibilities include:
- Adheres to all Safe Work Practices (SWP) and organizational policies and procedures. Must abide by all safety requirements and attain safety goals.
- Partners with reliable suppliers, solving questions, and confirming expected deliverables, while resolving any delivery, payment, price discrepancies and quality related concerns.
- Performs purchase order entry and all other administrative duties related to the procurement function.
- Uploads pricing into Spare parts data mining tool.
- Runs Open order report and performs close-outs based on buyer communication.
- Assists with Accounts Payable discrepancies to assist buyers.
- Supports all value creation opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Oversees small spend suppliers and assist with implementing new process across the team.
- Travesl to other FQ sites as required.
Required education, experience, and abilities include:
- BA/BS in Supply Chain or related work experience
- Experience with various MS office suite skills to include Excel, Word, Power Point, along with any SAP Ariba, Celonis, QlikView experience a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with some knowledge of spare parts and service requests.
- Must have strong written skills and be able to convey information orally as required.
Physical requirements inludce:
Normal mobility, manual dexterity, normal visual and auditory ability.
Work environment:
This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days on-site at designated manufacturing facility. Modifications to this schedule are possible to align with business goals. This position would work at a designated location based on site support requirements.
