Have you ever ordered a product on Amazon and, when that box with the smile arrived, wondered how it got to you so fast? Have you wondered where it came from and how much it cost Amazon? If so, the Amazon Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) organization is for you. SCOT offers a unique opportunity to create and see the direct impact of your work on billions of dollars’ worth of inventory, within one of the world’s most advanced supply chains, at a massive scale.

At the center of SCOT is our lab team. We own large-scale, in-production A/B testing systems to drive innovation in production systems. Inventory planning involves many algorithms to buy inventory in the right quantities, at the right frequencies, from the right vendors, and assign it to the best warehouses to fulfill customer demand, optimizing long-term free cash flow for Amazon. Our experimentation platform is critical in driving continued optimizations to the many algorithms behind Amazon’s worldwide supply chain. We are hiring and are especially looking for Business Intelligence Engineers (BIE).
Finally, here are some more reasons you might find this opportunity exciting:
Being part of a team that is at the heart of the most sophisticated supply chain and decision-making system on the planet.
Working at the intersection of analytics, science, and engineering to impact the Amazon user experience (by helping supply chain teams run experiments that allow for speed and same-day availability, for example), saving hundreds of millions of dollars using cutting-edge science and technology along the way.
Being part of a team that values creativity and welcomes outside-the-box thinking (thinking big!).
Being part of a team with a high emphasis on a positive work culture of collaboration.
Being part of a fast-growing team with many growth opportunities.
