As a reservations intern at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, you will gain real-world experience working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Through work experience and personalized coaching, you will gain experience and build skills in multiple areas that can be applied to a variety of career paths. These skills include analytical thinking, problem-solving, sales techniques, coaching, and professional written and verbal communication.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Providing information concerning the Hershey destination including resort availability, rates, package plans, events, promotions, and attractions.

Think analytically to seek alternatives and resolve guest opportunities.

Develop sales techniques with the objective of revenue maximization.

Build rapport and gain trust over the phone to enhance the guest experience.

Complete daily reports and assist in the quality assurance review process to ensure agents are providing a high level of guest service.

Develop technical skills with ResortSuite, Revinate, and Google Workspace, Passkey, Gmail, and other reservation systems.

Attend regular professional development series sessions throughout the summer.

Perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate education or a Spring 2025 college graduate
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong written and oral communication skills in English
-
Detail-oriented with organization and planning skills

Must pass typing test to demonstrate ability to serve guests quickly and accurately (minimum 32 words per minute)

Self-motivated with personal drive for success

Must display professionalism and a positive demeanor

Desire and willingness to learn and grow
Job Demands:
- This internship is available for the Summer 2025 season, starting in May and running through August.

Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week through duration of internship

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays, based on business needs

Interns will be required to work within a hybrid model of in-office and at-home time.

Employees must have a quiet place to conduct work, free from distractions and background noise

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts will provide the necessary computer, monitors, and equipment, however the agent is responsible for providing high speed/broadband internet

Housing is available with this internship through our housing partner at Campus Heights, Penn State Harrisburg, for the cost of a payroll deduction of $160 per week.

Interns will be required to report to the office, on average, one day per week for the duration of their internship.
