The Opportunity
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will lead a team of maintenance mechanics to support 24/7 production operations. You will ensure building and equipment perform at optimal levels to support fulfillment operations in shipping of orders to all customers.
You will work onsite Wed-Sat from 5am-3:30pm and report to the Facilities Manager.
Who We Are
The maintenance team is responsible for a variety of work streams and projects that allow our campuses to have a comfortable and safe workplace. The services the department provides range from building maintenance, AV Setup/Installation, guest registration, badges/parking permits, space planning/moves, drawing requests and design, large-scale projects, and café/catering services.
Your Impact
- Leadership – Responsible for leadership of a shift of maintenance mechanics to support fulfillment operations and assist the Facilities Manager with short and long-term goals.
- Coordination – Coordinates maintenance projects with Operations. Communicate directly with the Operations department to coordinate maintenance work on equipment.
- CMMS – Reviews work orders for accuracy and completion against standards. Provide metrics and details to Facilities Manager. Assign work, including developing work orders, assets review for accuracy, and inventory management.
- Systems Inventory – Ensure accurate inventory accounting by ensuring spare parts are accounted for in work orders, against correct equipment.
- Maintenance – Monitor and audit preventative maintenance programs to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and applicability to maintain equipment in optimal levels for production.
- Safety Leadership – Ensure that all facilities associates are working in a safe environment and all procedures are followed.
- Project Management – Participate and oversee building projects, including capital improvements, asset replacements and construction as assigned.
- Continuous Improvement – Partner with operations on programs for implementing continuous improvement projects.
What You Bring
- Must have bachelor's degree. Prefer bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical)
- Minimum Experience: 3 years management in fulfillment/distribution, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent military experience. Some degree of electrical and mechanical experience combined with a basic knowledge of construction.
