Overview

CAES is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Contracts Administrator to join our dynamic team and play an integral role managing contracts of all types. This position offers a motivated individual the chance to work side by side with a multi-functional team on all contract related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of complex, small and large-scale contracts and develop proposals and contracts in a cost disclosed environment (preparing all documents required for contract proposals, understanding and communicating requirements of government contracts, ensuring compliance, as well as issues, and coordinating required subcontract agreements)
  • Ensure proper FAR and DFARS flow-down requirements are compliant in subcontracts and contracts
  • Preserve Intellectual Property through timely identification and notification of IP to the government in accordance with regulations
  • Ensure Statement of Work and terms of subcontracts adequately support the requirements of the government contract and review contract terms and conditions with technical personnel, management and legal counsel
  • Prepare and issue subcontracts, teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements, drafting and managing routine non-disclosure, teaming, and other agreements with partners
  • Prepare monthly status reports on contract performance
  • Ensure financial and technical reporting requirements of contracts are met
  • Document and timely communicate contract change request to the government
  • Performs beginning to end contract management activities, including providing sound advice on contract risk mitigation
  • Represent the Company independently or as team leader on complex, high-risk and/or large-scale customer and supply chain transactions
  • Review bids and proposals to ensure they meet company policy and the RFQ requirements
  • Prepare and present analyses of completed bid/proposal packages, including recommendations for negotiation strategies
  • Provide business partnering to the Business Area on contractual matters
  • Negotiate and administer contracts and related agreements and guide other contracts professionals, where applicable, on such activities
  • Contribute expertise to contract strategy meetings to identify issues and customer requirements
  • Monitor programs and proactively identify and resolve problems related to contract changes
  • Foster and maintain a sound and reliable relationship with counterparts in internal and external customer organizations
  • Participates in and may lead special projects or improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 11 years of experience in government and/or commercial contracting OR Master's Degree and 5 years of experience in government and/or commercial contracting

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree and 8+ years' experience in government and/or commercial contracting
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
  • JD Degree is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and documentation databases
  • Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, FAR, DFARS, and risk mitigation strategies
