Description You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Providing security support in a wide range of security functional areas that include information security, physical security, personnel security, industrial security, antiterrorism, and operations security; 2) Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy directives relative to security administration; 3) Providing guidance to personnel on security clearance eligibility and Continuous Evaluation; 4) Assisting with maintenance and processing of security personnel files; 5) Assisting and monitors conferences or meetings where classified material will be discussed; 6) Assisting in administering elements of the security education program.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

1 full year of graduate level education
OR
superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
