Description

This position is responsible for leadership and oversight of customer service and warehousing operations. Must ensure 3Pl processing, customer specific documentation, protocols and paperwork, shop rates, job specifications, quality, safety and labor allocation meet budget expectations. Provides back-up support to Warehouse Supervisor. Trains and provides direction to staff including temporary and contract workers. Often responsible for “hand’s-on” tasks and duties to ensure efficient and safe operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

  • Provides customer service support for all documentation, tracing, 3PL, reporting, etc.
  • Ensure efficient processes and administration across the organization.
  • Provides back-up support to Warehouse Supervisor in supervising all warehouse staff.
  • Records all warehouse data, quality, time and labor.
  • Performs daily order processing.
  • Maintains inventory and supplies.
  • Ships and receives goods and materials.
  • Responsible for safe forklift operation and to assist operations when needed.
  • Supports employees in day to day operations, tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Verifies orders and tracks shipments.
  • Schedules daily shipments.
  • Responsible for general compliance, documentation and ensuring safety and regulatory and customer specification compliance.
  • Understand SOPs and properly instituting them.
  • Ensuring shop rate is met while maintaining quality.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally.
  • Actively seeks and supports continuous improvement activities in process efficiencies, costs and effectiveness of work.
  • Provides attention to detail and proactively address issues in a timely manner.
  • Provides continuous quality checks and alerts management to issues.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Operates safely in all conditions.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Follows company policies and procedures.

Supervisory/ Management Requirements:

Directly or indirectly supervises employees, temporary or contractor workers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training and engaging employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years warehouse, contract packaging supervisory experience required.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Previous Forklift experience required. Must obtain and sustain valid forklift license and have ability to train other.
  • Calm Demeanor and level head for troubleshooting and handling issues as they arise.
  • Ability to develop and carry out policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance.
  • Customer contact and prior experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must respond well to questions and have ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents.
  • Follow safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions.
  • Sharp attention to detail including accurate data and numbers.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work in order to productively and efficiently meet deadlines.
  • Professional presence with the ability to diffuse difficult situations and problem solve effective solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office and related technology.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate forklift with appropriate training. Valid forklift license/certification or training preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours across all shifts, overtime, weekends, etc. based upon business operational demands.
  • May be required to operate across various locations.
