What you will do

The National Accounts team exists to sell Mack Trucks achieving assigned annual sales objectives and accelerating the growth of the rolling population. Optimizing operating leverage, delivering customer satisfaction, and creating value for our Mack dealer partners is important. The national fleet (customers) we serve have geographic requirements that effectively can be serviced best by the consolidated services and business planning of the national accounts team.

National Account Managers are responsible for achieving annual sales objectives, delivery of financial performance for assigned portfolio and optimizing customer satisfaction.

As a preferred candidate, you will have familiarity with Mack Sales tools and processes. Can interact confidently with C-level Executives, as well as lower positions in the organization. You bring a consultative approach with the ability to build executive level quotations. You are an exceptional leader and a team player, capable of providing timely and complete resolution to problems. A record of sales success and CRM/ pipeline management experience is required. You are a business professional with strong business and financial acumen. Performing well with negotiating in executive level settings with customers and corporately is key.

This position can be located in any major U.S. city close to a large airport hub.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Achieve assigned annual sales and gross profit objectives within the portfolio of assigned customers.
  • Full commitment and engagement in using our sales process and managing the customer relationship, opportunity pipeline, sales activities through our CRM.
  • Sell the total Mack offering of Products and Services ensuring that customers understand Mack’s full capabilities.
  • Develop relationships and strategies to successfully conquest customer new sales.
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, including the ability to build and deliver professional executive level presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate sales transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and follow-up cross functionally the successful closure of problems impacting our customers.
  • High aptitude with software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management software/ analytics e.g., Oracle.
  • Lead cross functional corporate team delivering customer satisfaction and successfully achieving sales and financial targets.
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge and administration of current Sales Policies.
  • Receive specification information on used and new truck quotations, coordinate trade and trade back information with remarketing group to establish trade values to dealer and provide documentation.
  • Works with assigned Pricing colleagues to analyze, develop and propose complex deals.
  • Complete knowledge of broad finance instruments including terms, types, and usage as they pertain to customers.
  • Managed body company and other post-production relationships needed to bring customer satisfaction.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, sales, accounting, business management, related business fields or equivalent experience.
  • Five -10 years direct sales and account executive experience.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Salesforce/ CRM experience preferred.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $143,565.00 to $177,345.00, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
