Position: CNC Programmer
Hours: Mon-Friday 7am to 3:30 PM
6 Holidays paid, 100% paid health insurance for associate and family, profit sharing after one year.
Respirator required from time to time so Physical test required.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating CNC machinery, a commitment to quality, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is crucial to maintaining our reputation for excellence and precision in steam turbine components.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce precision components. * MUST be able to set up fixtures, install them, set up and then program after reading the blue prints. Some manual machining experience preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to ensure accurate machining and compliance with specifications.
- Practical Knowledge: Operate a variety of CNC machines with controls from leading brands, including Haas (Haas Control), Hurco (WinMax Control), Matsura (Yasnac Control), Mazak (Mazatrol Control), and Prototrak.
- Software Expertise: Utilize software such as DraftSight, GibbsCAM, Mastercam, and SolidWorks to create and refine CNC programs.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products with precision measuring tools, ensuring they meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Machine Setup and Calibration: Prepare machines for production runs, including tool selection, installation, and calibration.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain CNC equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic understanding of machining processes and materials.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Physical ability to lift and carry materials up to 30 lbs (a crane is available for heavier loads).
- Adherence to all safety regulations and policies as required by BWC and applicable laws.
