Description About the Position: Independently manages/directs the District's Real Estate Program. Plans, directs, administers, and correlates various projects and programs through subordinate branch and field project office(s). Major functions managed are Outgrant Management, Acquisition, Management and Disposal, Real Property Accountability, Local Flood Protection Program, Continuing Authorities Program, Appraisal, Relocations and Realty Technical Services.Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience Requirements: One year of specialized experience which includes: One year of experience: Managing real estate functions, including acquisition, disposal, property management, and relocations. Applying federal and DoD real estate policies, coordinating agreements, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Resolving real estate issues, support program planning, and collaborate with stakeholders. Overseeing projects, managing resources, and providing guidance to staff. Communicating policy interpretation and contract negotiations. Managing/Supervising personnel, hiring, training, evaluations, and compliance. This specialized experience is equivalent to the next lower grade in the Federal Service GS-13.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Must meet within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone. No substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Salary128,754.00 - 167,380.00 Annual
