The Fiscal Officer 1 is a professional social service position in a County Children and Youth Agency that is responsible for the fiscal operations of the agency. We work in close cooperation with other social service agencies, hospitals, mental health facilities, police, Courts, schools, and other community resources in assisting the families. In this position, you will be developing and managing budgets, revenues, and expenditures. Work includes accurately preparing reports, maintaining financial ledgers and journals, and other financial procedures needed for the agency. You will have the opportunity to provide supervision and evaluation of the workers in the fiscal and clerical units of the agency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or
- Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or
- Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
