In this position, you will deliver both classroom and on-the-job training to inmates, covering standard plumbing practices, methods, and procedures. This includes instruction on plumbing systems, hot and cold water distribution, drainage systems, and building plumbing. You will teach using a structured curriculum and maintain thorough documentation of inmate training progress, attendance, and assignments. You will also supervise inmate work crews as they complete plumbing work orders during their training. Your responsibilities will include planning and assigning daily schedules, determining the resources needed for plumbing assignments, inspecting completed tasks, and managing inventory of materials and tools.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems; or
- Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade.
Other Requirements:
- You must successfully complete basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
