The Department of Corrections (DOC) Human Resource Office Region 10 is seeking a motivated and organized Human Resource Assistant 2. In this role, you will provide paraprofessional human resource work within the DOC HR Office at State Correctional Institution (SCI) Mahanoy and Frackville and serve as our office’s primary time advisor. In this position, your primary role will be independently serving as the time advisor, responsible for auditing, monitoring, overseeing, and recommending appropriate action to the timekeepers and the time and attendance program in the region. You will work closely with Field Human Resource Officers and determine training needs, develop training programs, and conduct training to support and assist four timekeepers.
Your work will provide the satisfaction of solving routine timekeeping problems daily and offer opportunities to learn and grow with guidance from your supervisor in unusual situations. You will also gain thorough knowledge the collective bargaining agreements, schedules, regulations, and rules that ensure our employees are paid fairly, appropriately, and timely. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) only during inclement weather. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Frackville.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth title); or
- One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
