What you will do

We are hiring a Trucks & Services Sales Training Mgr.-Volvo.

The purpose of this position is to increase the sales performance of the Volvo Trucks North American dealer network by providing expert facilitation of in-person and virtual instructor-led sales training classes. The principal focus will be delivering training for the Volvo Sales Professionals and Sales Managers for new and used trucks, and services and solutions in support of Volvo Trucks’ market share and sustainability strategic objectives. Your leaners may be comprised of newcomers to the commercial transportation industry as well as experienced industry veterans who are new to the Volvo brand.

Your responsibilities in this role will include (but not limited to):

· You will facilitate instructor-led training on Volvo Truck’s sales processes, sales systems, sales tools, product knowledge, and related service offerings.

· You will provide training on sales techniques, sales methodologies and account management that is in-line with Volvo Trucks’ brand values and best practices.

· You will regularly partner with Volvo Trucks product and field teams to provide targeted training implementations to impact the performance of focus dealers.

· You will partner with Volvo Trucks sales and marketing teams to support new product launches and lead training workshops during regularly scheduled sales and marketing events.

· You will partner with Volvo Trucks Academy’s Learning Design and Development Team (LDD) to develop instructor-led training, and act as a feedback mechanism for the LDD team in the learning content evaluation program.

· You will often partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in co-facilitating classes and be expected to effectively manage the SME and the learning environment in those learning events.

· You are responsible for all facility and material logistics and Learning Management Systems (LMS) registrations surrounding your training events.

· In concert with the Learning Program Manager (LPM), Trucks Academy’s communications manager, and the respective Volvo Trucks field teams, you will drive class registrations.

· Periodically, you will partner with the LDD team and the LPM for Volvo Trucks Sales in conducting performance gap analysis.

· You will deliver other sales and/or product related training for Volvo Trucks, as needed.

· You will facilitate training courses in alignment with corporate communication and brand policies, guidelines, strategies, imaging, and messaging to drive the ultimate Volvo Trucks dealer experience.

· You are expected to actively pursue learning activities that improve your product knowledge, presentation skills, and facilitation effectiveness.

· You will participate in industry conferences, exhibits, dealer meetings and other commercial activities with the goal of expanding industry knowledge and understanding of all activities and functions throughout the sales channel.

· You are expected to develop expert level competency in Volvo Trucks’ sales process, systems and related business practices and procedures.

Travel:

· Extensive domestic travel and periodic international travel will be required to deliver the training classes in regional training facilities throughout North and South America.

Who are you?

· You have a BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline

· ATD Master Trainer certification or equivalent

· You have 3 years of proven training experience

· 3 to 5 years’ experience in the heavy duty or medium duty truck, automotive, construction, or agriculture or other capital equipment industries desirable.

· Proven competency in delivering learning using best in class virtual training platforms

· Commercial Drivers License required or ability to obtain in the first 90 days of employment.
