Pike County Area Agency on Aging has an exciting opportunity for an individual who is patient, compassionate, and organized. We are looking for an Aging Care Manager that is interested in helping senior citizens discover resources that will enhance their quality of life. As an Aging Care Manager 1, you will function in a trainee capacity in our protective services unit. You will have the opportunity to gain insight on procedures and policies involved in the program(s) provided by Pike County AAA in order to provide care management services for seniors, 60 years of age and older in need of protective services. During this time, you will learn how to perform assessments regarding the functional needs of individuals and investigations involving abuse, neglect, exploitation, and abandonment of older adults. Work includes developing individual services plans (ISP), acting as a consumer advocate, and coordinating services with other social services agencies. Additional responsibilities include:
- Attending meetings
- Educating seniors regarding referral services
- Participating in webinars to further education
- Completing documentation
- Preparing services orders
- Making home visits
- Maintaining a caseload
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- On-call rotation is required for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Pike County. If no eligible candidates who live within Pike County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
