The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program is seeking a Public Health professional to support the Program's mission to reduce diversion and misuse of controlled substances in Pennsylvania.

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday - Friday; 1 hour lunch
In this position, you will support the PDMP's goal to improve the health of Pennsylvanians by promoting the appropriate use of controlled substances to ensure they are prescribed and dispensed safely and responsibly in the commonwealth.
As a Public Health Program Assistant Administrator, you will support the Public Health Program Administrator in the implementation and administration of the PDMP's prevention activities. You will play a key role in the implementation of state-wide public health programs by supporting grants and contracts related to the PDMP, prescriber education, and first responder education and training.
This position provides support to a complex, focused, high visibility public health program and coordinates activities. Experience with health communication, budgeting, contract development, and vendor management are strongly preferred.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements -
A bachelor's degree and one year of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience;
A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services;
An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and three years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services;
Five years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services;
A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care administration, health education, public health administration, public administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration, or education.
