The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Area Manager will manage the tactical functionality of your department. You will work onsite and be responsible for fulfillment center goals for your team. Additionally, you will coach and develop your team to encourage an engaged and safe team.
Your Impact
- Develop and administer operational procedures for perfectly completing activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping the highest standards of inventory accuracy.
- Network and consult with corporate / site resources and facilities staff to ensure low-cost efficiencies and high service levels are maintained.
- Build a positive, motivating, engaged Culture by modeling QVC Group Values and operating principles, ensuring all employees are treated fairly, ethically, and respectfully.
- Review existing operations to determine what improvements can be made to the department, which allows for cost reduction, increased speed, and improved customer service.
- Oversee daily operations for assigned area, partnering with other departments.
- Identify, report, and communicate with the Department Manager trends and irregularities. Take an approach to analyzing deficiencies and develop plans to correct them.
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated Leadership/Supervisory experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or retail environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience encouraging a positive work environment and partnering with employees
