2nd Shift - Lamination-Operator/Set-Up Position

2nd Shift Available (Monday - Thursday schedule - 4pm - 2am)

Starting Hourly Rate is $21.00 plus $2.00 Shift differential!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Operators are to communicate clearly with the laborer to ensure quality production. Inspect all parts before and after lamination. Set the machine up and do changeovers to meet the plants demands.

Essential Functions:

  1. Loading and unloading of parts from baskets and/or trailers.
  2. Trim and Wool (bulb) parts (with correct wool/bulb in correct slot).
  3. Inspect quality before and after lamination.
  4. Cut scrap when needed.
  5. Cut and set primer pads, ensures proper coverage for the entire run.
  6. Set drive and guide wheels.
  7. Read and understand lamination schedules.
  8. Count parts.
  9. Distinguish types and color of foils.
  10. Change glue on hot melt system when needed.
  11. Clean and prep glue head.
  12. Set up slitter and cut foil to correct sizes.
  13. Able to read and understand lamination prints.
  14. Work together as a team and communicate with each other.
  15. Clean up after each run and prepare for the next.
  16. Set wheels/rollers to apply foil to correct coverage area without air pockets or wrinkles.
  17. Adjust and control setting on lamination machine and melter.
  18. Set up all the different profiles and make a good finished product.
  19. Troubleshoot and make adjustments when necessary.
  20. Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT:

  1. Safety glasses and ear plugs are required at all times on the production floor by all team members.
  2. Steel toe boots that meet ANSI requirements are required for all team members working on the production floor.
  3. Proper clothing required per employee handbook.
  4. Proper PPE, goggles, splash shield, gloves and apron are required when handling chemicals in Lamination.
  5. Refer to Safety Handbook for other safety equipment requirements such as shoes and tools.

  1. Exposure to temperature variation consistent with outside weather conditions.
  2. Hazards associated with working with Machinery.
  3. Hazards associated with using power tools.
  4. Hazards associated with using chemicals.
  5. Hazards associated with being on your feet for long periods of time.
  6. Lunch/break times are at the discretion of work flow. All lunches/breaks are paid.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  1. High school graduate or GED required.
  2. Must be able to read/write and understand the English language.
  3. Must be able to compute basic math, adding, subtracting, multiplication & division.
  4. Must be able to use/read a tape measure, and saws.
  5. Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
  6. Computer skills/knowledge of general computer operations.
  7. Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
  8. Must possess a valid PA driver’s license and a working telephone.
  9. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to perform the essential job functions.
  10. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively communicate with co-workers.
