At Amazon, we are excited to offer graduate students the opportunity to launch into big careers with limitless possibilities. We know searching for an internship or a full-time role is as much about finding a company where you can picture yourself being successful as it is about finding the right role.
Amazon’s Corporate Business Development (Corp BD) team works across all of Amazon’s businesses and leads our most complex and high-impact business development opportunities. The Corp BD team is trustworthy, adaptable, and focused on enabling high-judgment decision-making and delivering results.
As a Corp BD intern, your work involves regular interaction with leaders across Amazon and the opportunity to influence highly strategic initiatives throughout the company in order to bring value through strategic partnerships. Our team’s work spans Amazon business units, with a focus on initiatives that guide Amazon’s next phase of growth, including AI, digital media, advertising, ecommerce, payments, cloud computing and mobile technologies. Your contributions help to manage relationships and negotiations for strategic partnership deals which are first-of-their-kind in nature, need a centralized advocate, and/or have broad implications to multiple Amazon business units. We often work with major technology companies, such as Meta and Google, as well as high-growth start-ups to identify new partnership opportunities. Internal engagement with management teams is critical to weighing relative advantages and risks, deeply understanding products and roadmaps, and building a point of view on customer and innovation trends.
An Amazon MBA summer internship is 11-12 weeks long, consisting of a strategic project that is data intensive, analytical, centered on a real business issue, and representative of the full-time role. The Corp BD intern will have ownership of a high-profile project, where they will partner with key business groups and clients. By participating in the internship, you will have opportunities to analyze unique business ideas, make data driven decisions and provide input to drive meaningful change. Each intern will have exposure to upper-level management (including Vice Presidents and Directors) and the opportunity to apply general business and financial analysis skills to support successful execution of corporate strategies.
